DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING

Don’t have time to get certified but still want to go SCUBA Diving? Seasport Divers participates in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, sometimes called a Resort Class, this program allows Non-Certified Divers to experience the thrill of the underwater world with an Instructor right there by your side. Participate in a short lesson and then perform the skills you learned with the gear on in the pool. Swim around for a while and get comfortable and now your ready for the next step . . . the ocean!! After you complete the FREE Pool lesson you can join us for a one or two-tank Shore Dive or a two-tank dive on the Afternoon Boat Trip. The maximum depth Non-Certified Divers are allowed to dive is 40 feet and the groups are small, not more then 4 non-certified divers to 1 instructor.

RUSTY DIVER/REFRESHER

If you are a bit rusty and want to brush up on the basics, you can join us for the free pool lesson before the afternoon charter and get re-acquainted with breathing underwater! When you make your reservation, mention that you would like to do the pool lesson to brush up on your skills.

OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION

Classes run three consecutive days and start Monday, Wednesday, And Friday.

Pick up your learning materials at least a day ahead of time and read chapters 1-3 and do the Knowledge Reviews for those sections before the start of class. Then spend time in the classroom going over Knowledge Reviews, taking quizzes and watching videos, an afternoon in the pool, a test and a little homework, plus 4 dives in the ocean and you’re OPEN WATER CERTIFIED.

COST: $435 includes books, all equipment, instruction and 4 shore dives. Dives 3 and 4 can be done from the Boat for an additional $65.

REFERRAL DIVE PROGRAM

IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL OF YOUR CLASSROOM WORK AND POOL WORK AT HOME AND JUST NEED TO DO YOUR DIVES YOU CAN COMPLETE A REFERRAL PROGRAM. Lot of people coming to Kauai get certified this way! Complete all your bookwork, pool work, quizzes and test with your local Dive Shop. Then while here on vacation spend just 2 half days to complete your certification in the warm waters of Kauai.

If you’ve already gone on Dives 1 & 2 and just need dives 3 & 4 to complete your certification, we can take care of that too.

COST: $250 - 4 Shore Dives, all equipment and Instruction.
$170 - 2 Shore Dives, all equipment and Instruction.
$65 additional for dives 3 and 4 from the Boat.

Seasport Divers is a member of the UNIVERSAL REFERRAL PROGRAM, which recognizes NAUI, SSI, NASDS, IDEA, PDIC, TDI and the YMCA. So if you’ve started your OPEN WATER Certification class with any of these agencies, we can complete your class here in the warm, clear waters of Kauai.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER

Yes, there is a book to read like your OPEN WATER Class, but this is a DIVING Class!! There are 5 dives necessary to complete the ADVANCED OPEN WATER Class, two required dives and 3 electives. The two required dives are the DEEP DIVE and the NAVIGATION DIVE. Then YOU CHOOSE your three elective dives from a long list that includes, NIGHT, DRIFT, BOAT, UNDERWATER NATURALIST, UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY, COMPUTER, SEARCH and RECOVERY and many more. Spend two to three days with an Instructor honing your diving skills while furthering your diving knowledge and experience.

COST: $435 includes books, all equipment, 3 Shore Dives and 2 Boat Dives and Instruction.

RESCUE DIVER

This course teaches you how to react in a diving emergency and makes you better able to self rescue. In the PADI RESCUE DIVER class you learn how to help prevent diving emergencies from happening, and also how to manage emergencies if they do happen. The class consists of 12 specific rescue scenarios that are completed in the water over three days. There is class work and of course a book to read. The Rescue Diver experience is a huge confidence builder and an extremely rewarding class for many divers.

COST: $435 includes books, all dives done from the Shore, all equipment and instruction.

ENRICHED AIR NITROX

Great news! The most popular PADI Specialty course – Enriched Air Diver – is available online. With the PADI Enriched Air Diver Course Online, you complete the knowledge development portion of the course on your own time and at your convenience. This innovative new program provides a dive-computer only option, which simplifies the learning process and enables you to get in the water sooner using Enriched Air.

Spend just a half a day in the classroom and go on two dives and you can enjoy all the benefits of diving with Enriched Air NITROX. Learn how to safely dive with Enriched Air and how to determine the Maximum Operating Depth for different mixtures and calculate specific oxygen limits. You will also calculate Equivalent Air Depths and gain hands on experience with Oxygen Analyzers and NITROX Dive Computers.

COST: $180 includes book, and instruction.

SPECIALTY COURSES

If you don’t see the specialty you want to take listed…Not a problem. Just let us know what class you want to take and we will set it up for you. With all the instructors we have on Staff, we can teach every specialty there is.

For all certification courses THERE IS A MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE THAT NEEDS TO BE FILLED OUT AND PASSED TO PARTICIPATE IN SCUBA ACTIVITIES. IF PARTICIPANT FAILS THE MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE A DOCTOR MUST GIVE A WRITTEN STATEMENT (FAXES ARE OK) THAT SCUBA ACTIVITIES ARE SAFE AND ALLOWED FOR THIS PARTICIPANT PRIOR TO GOING SCUBA DIVING.
